Hi Bob,

I just wanted to share a couple photos of Mr G with you.  I think he looks like his daddy, Jazzman!  These were taken this summer in ND at the family lake cabin.  It was his first trip there and he loved it.  The lack of humidity and cooler temps were great for him and his love to be outside!

 Mr. Grumpy is beautiful! His mother, "Carlotta", is one of my favorite mama dogs! Jazzman would like to have another litter with her!

Buck-buck is back! Deer love my roses...

Last year, the deer ate our roses, tulips, tomatoes, etc. The mama deer usually brought her male offspring with her.  I named him buck-buck (I don't know any deer names other than Bambi) and he became a regular visitor.  He would look at me as I walked the dogs with disinterest -- and continue to munch on the salad bowl that was provided.

This morning was the first time I spotted him this year.  My, what a sight! His coat is darker and he has grown antlers (6 prongs?).  He watched me drink my coffee on the back porch, wagged his white tail, and showed me his girlfriend standing in the tall weeds. She was shy but very tall and stately.  I called to Sweet T. Pie to come into the house and not disturb them.

I caught him looking for tomatoes. Looks like we'll have some little spotted ones come spring (deer not tomatoes).

Cherry Cookie is a "mini-English bulldog" and two of her litter of four seem to be "mini" also.  The smallest is Sam Spade (white head).  Next is Philip Marlow.  The biggest is Sherlock Holmes.  Nancy Drew is the cry baby.  More information at puppygal.com

Cherry Cookie's litter is One Month Old!

Cherry Cookie's litter tasted "solid food" for the first time.  Actually, the solid food is mush-- baby oatmeal, dry milk and water.  The littlest one (Philip Marlow) was the first to taste test the mixture...
